Balancing Levity and Gravity in Public Rituals

In the last few years, I've noticed a general trend across Pagandom towards embracing joy, play, and silliness in our spirituality. Overall, this is an enormously positive trend; our spirituality *should* bring us joy. But I do think there's a risk of becoming unbalanced if our spirituality is exclusively centered around irreverence and goofiness, specifically in the context of public rituals.
